The Center for Conversion and Professional Adaptation (CCPA) and the Innovation Hub of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University announce the launch of the second cohort of BGV Hardware Accelerator — the university’s flagship programme for supporting innovative teams and early-stage startups.
The programme is looking for hardware, software and other innovation-driven projects with the potential to contribute to Ukraine’s economy, security and sustainable development. Students, PhD candidates and researchers of Zhytomyr Polytechnic who have an innovative idea or an early-stage project are invited to apply.
Behind every successful startup, there are dozens of hours of testing, customer interviews and technical iterations. The teams from the first cohort of BGV Hardware Accelerator are already going through this process in real time.
Since December 2024, four teams have been developing their projects within the accelerator:
Pentest Arena is developing a gamified simulator for training responses to cyber threats.
EStiM is creating an electrosurgical stimulator for more precise tissue identification during surgical procedures.
Smart Sport Systems is implementing a high-precision tracking system for sports academies.
BMS Hub is working on a wired hub for the automation and monitoring of critical infrastructure.
After several months of intensive work, some of these projects are already approaching the final stage of the programme and preparing their final presentations.
Within the accelerator, teams follow an individual development plan. Together with Innovation Leaders, they define concrete milestones, expected results and the steps that need to be completed within a specific timeframe.
At this stage, the key focus is not on creating a perfect technical scheme, but on speaking with future users. Customer interviews help teams understand real market needs and build products that respond to actual demand.
Access to funding, equipment and materials allows teams to assemble prototypes faster, test them in practice and move from an idea to a minimum viable product.
Application period: 25 March – 8 April
Registration: https://forms.gle/ArTXgNnsFS733F6o8
The number of places is limited.
BGV Hardware Accelerator is implemented by the Innovation Hub of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University with the support of BGV Group Management, founded by Hennadii Butkevych, with CCPA acting as a co-organising partner.
For CCPA, participation in the accelerator reflects its broader commitment to supporting technology entrepreneurship, university-based innovation and the development of startup teams capable of creating practical solutions for Ukraine’s future.
