The Center for Conversion and Professional Adaptation (CCPA) and the Innovation Hub of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University introduce the first cohort of BGV Hardware Accelerator 2025 — a flagship programme supporting innovative university teams and early-stage startups.
The programme brings together teams working on hardware, software and technology-driven solutions with the potential to address real challenges in cybersecurity, healthcare, sports technologies, automation and infrastructure management.
The first cohort includes four teams:
Pentest Arena
Pentest Arena is developing a gamified educational platform for simulating cyber incidents. Instead of learning through dry theory, users enter the conditions of a real cyberattack and work with actual ethical hacking tools. The platform creates a safe training environment for educational institutions and businesses to practise real-time responses to cyber threats.
EStiM
EStiM is developing an electrosurgical stimulator for operations on the gastrointestinal tract. The solution addresses a critical surgical challenge: helping doctors locate and identify muscles that cannot be visually distinguished during surgery. The device not only detects tissue, but also shows its functional state, supporting better decision-making in the operating room.
Smart Sport Systems
Smart Sport Systems is creating a high-precision tracking system for sports academies. The solution enables coaches to measure athletes’ speed and reaction time, using real-time data to improve the effectiveness of training processes and support more objective performance assessment.
BMS Hub
BMS Hub is developing a wired hub for the automation of offices, warehouses and critical infrastructure. The solution transforms complex engineering networks into a centralised system that can analyse its own condition, prevent failures and help save resources.
At the next stage of the accelerator, the teams will continue working through a structured development process. This will include personalised progress tracking, cooperation with Innovation Leaders, customer discovery, client interviews and MVP development.
The teams will also gain access to funding for materials and equipment, allowing them to test their technical assumptions, build prototypes and move closer to practical implementation.
The programme is implemented by the Innovation Hub of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University with the support of BGV Group Management, founded by Hennadii Butkevych, with CCPA acting as a co-organising partner.
For CCPA, participation in BGV Hardware Accelerator reflects its broader commitment to supporting technology entrepreneurship, applied innovation and the development of university-based startup teams. The accelerator creates a practical pathway for young innovators to move from an idea to a prototype, and from a prototype toward a product with real market potential.
