On 26 July 2024, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University hosted the final of BGV Hardware Accelerator, where participating startups presented the MVPs of their technological solutions.

The final Pitch Day became an opportunity to see how young Ukrainian engineers transformed their ideas into innovative products after several months of intensive work, mentoring and prototype development.

BGV Hardware Accelerator is an acceleration programme implemented by Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University with the support of BGV Group Management and its founder Hennadii Butkevych. The programme is designed to support technology startups, attract talented engineers and stimulate the creation of modern innovation-driven products in Ukraine.

The programme was also supported by the Ukrainian Startup Fund and Techosystem, an open association of technology ecosystem players. The Center for Conversion and Professional Adaptation (CCPA) acted as a co-organising partner of the programme, supporting the development of university-based innovation and technology entrepreneurship.

During Pitch Day, the following projects were presented:

Sentry RF
Development and production of affordable and efficient components for radio monitoring systems.

Mechanical Gardener
Development of affordable and mobile tracked robotic platforms for greenhouse maintenance.

Ground Motorised Unmanned Vehicle “Tilets-1”
A ground-based motorised unmanned vehicle designed for reconnaissance, search and rescue, repair and combat-related operations.

SkillsUp
Development and production of customised sports and rehabilitation training equipment for sports academies, clubs and rehabilitation centres.

PoliMill CNC
Development of affordable and mobile solutions for CNC machining.

MechLab 3D
Development of accessible and efficient solutions for 3D printing. The team presented Manufacturer 3D, a 3D printer with six printing heads designed for businesses and companies working with 3D printing.

The Pitch Day brought together partners, mentors and representatives of the technology ecosystem who support the development of hardware innovation in Ukraine. CCPA thanks all partners who contributed to the event, including BGV Group Management, Techosystem, the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations, Deus Robotics, and the Association of Robotics and Automated Systems.

The projects presented during Pitch Day demonstrated the strong potential of Ukrainian engineering teams in hardware development, robotics, advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, rehabilitation technologies and security-related solutions.

For CCPA, participation in BGV Hardware Accelerator reflects its broader commitment to supporting technology entrepreneurship, practical innovation and the development of startups capable of contributing to Ukraine’s technological resilience and economic growth.

CCPA congratulates the participating startups on completing the programme and wishes them continued progress in developing their innovative products, attracting partners and bringing their solutions closer to the market.
