On 25 June 2024, the “Creative in IT” project competition took place at the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.

The competition was organised by the Innovation Hub of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, with the Center for Conversion and Professional Adaptation (CCPA) acting as a co-organising partner. The event was held with the support of BGV Group Management, founded by Hennadii Butkevych.

The competition became another event in a broader series of technology hackathons and innovation contests organised throughout the year to support young people interested in IT, digital products and creative technologies.

Students and school pupils from Zhytomyr and the Zhytomyr region took part in the competition. Participants aged 14 to 20 presented their projects in three sections: Product, GameDev and Branding/UX.

The event created a platform for young developers, designers and marketers to present their ideas, exchange experience and receive expert feedback from industry professionals. The projects demonstrated not only technical skills, but also creativity, product thinking and the ability to identify practical digital solutions.

The winners in each section were:

Product in IT — Team Velitors
Team members: Mykhailo Shtyl and Oleksandr Kravchuk.
Project: “Coords”, an application for organising transportation.

GameDev — Team “Riatyvnyky”
Team members: Anna Burdeina, Matvii Denysevych and Bohdan Sokolchuk.
Project: “Save The Children.”

Branding/UX — Anna Plivachuk
Project: “MAREVO.”

For CCPA, participation in the Creative in IT competition reflects its broader commitment to supporting youth innovation, digital skills development and early-stage project culture. Events of this kind help young people test their ideas, receive professional feedback and take their first steps toward more mature IT products.

CCPA thanks all participants for their courage, creativity and persistence in presenting their projects. Special thanks go to the jury members for their expert evaluation, valuable comments and support for young talent.

The competition demonstrated that IT education is not limited to coding alone. It also includes product design, user experience, branding, storytelling and the ability to turn an idea into a solution that can be understood, tested and developed further.
